Spirulina
is "Nature's Protein Powder". It's the highest
protein source of any whole food on earth!
|
 |
In addition to that, its proteins are complete (meaning it contains
all the essential amino acids in the correct proportions),
highly digestible and non-toxic (unlike the proteins found in
meat, which are hard to digest and create large amounts of toxic
byproducts in the human body). It's also one of the only alkaline
protein sources, which enables you to increase protein intake
without increasing acidity levels in the body!
Spirulina
is a type of blue-green algae derived from fresh-water sources.
It was a staple food for the Mayan & Aztec cultures, and
the Kanembus of Lake Chad. Spirulina is a powerhouse of concentrated
nutrition. It contains a wide variety of major and trace
minerals (all the minerals in the sea!), phytonutrients,
over 2,000 different enzymes, chlorophyll, vitamins
(especially high in B vitamins), phycocyanin (the
blue pigment, not found in any other food!), and much more.
Other impressive nutritional statistics of spirulina:
-
the highest source of beta carotene of any whole food!
(25 times richer than carrots)
- spirulina and mother's milk are the only whole food sources
of GLA! (Gamma Linolenic Acid, an essential fatty acid
important for proper brain function)
- 58 times more iron than spinach
- 3 times more vitamin E than wheat germ
- 10 times more calcium than milk (and much more digestible
for the human body)
- contains the essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids
It's
an excellent energy food, and is great for assisting the reversal of hypoglycemia,
diabetes, chronic fatigue, anemia and ulcers, as well as boosting
the immune system and repairing free radical damage.
This spirulina is of the cleanest and purest available on the market.
It's in a fine powder form, and is 100% pesticide-free and contains
no fillers. It's carefully dried at very low temperatures, and
packaged in an amber glass bottle to preserve nutrients. It
is wonderful blended into fruit or vegetable
juice, smoothies and salad dressings.
